'1조원 클럽' 스타트업, 한국은 2개
美정보업계 집계… 세계 113개

기업가치가 10억달러(1조1000억원) 이상으로 평가되는 비상장 스타트업인 '유니콘'이 전 세계적으로 113개가 있는것으로 집계됐다. 한국 기업도 2곳 포함됐다.
24일 미국 스타트업 정보업체 CB인사이츠에 따르면 전체 유니콘은 113개로, 이 중 미국 기업이 69개로 절반 이상을 차지했다. 중국기업은 15개로 미국에 이어 가장 많았으며, 인도 기업이 7개, 영국기업이 5개, 싱가포르 기업이 3개였다. 한국은 소셜커머스 쿠팡(17위·50억달러)과 종합 모바일서비스기업 옐로모바일(106위·10억달러)이 포함돼 독일 이스라엘 스웨덴 등과 함께 2개 기업을 올린 국가가 됐다.
기업가치가 가장 높은 곳은 중국 스마트폰 업체 샤오미로, 총 460억달러에 달했다. 중국기업은 핀테크 업체 루진숴(9위·100억달러), 무인기(드론) 제조업체 DJI이노베이션즈(11위·100억달러), 택시 애플리케이션(앱) 업체 디디콰이디(13위·88억달러), 전자상거래 업체 메이퇀(15위·70억달러) 등 상위 20위 안에 5곳이 포함돼 떠오르는 스타트업 강국임을 입증했다. 상위 20위권 내에는 미국기업이 12개였으며, 국내 기업 쿠팡도 20위 안에 이름을 올렸다.

Be forewarned: The valuations of these companies are in constant flux, and the list you see below may not necessarily reflect the most recent estimates. Our first list, published on January 22, 2015, included more than 80 unicorns and eight “decacorns,” those with valuations of $10 billion or more. As you’ll see below, there are now many more.
